He decides to look through the court system and jail time as if it were a movie, and as if everyone saw him for what he truly was. Its about Steve Harmon, a black 17-year-old boy who is on trial for a felony murder he may or may not have committed. They didn't tell him about Nam Rot, or napalm that sucked the air out of your lungs from a hundred yards away, or the body bags that lay in neat piles, ready for the next soldier to die. 'Monster' is based off the story by Walter Dean Myers. But there were things they didn't tell him in basic. He had a normal lifestyle until an event changes his life because of his so-called “friends” rob a drugstore, and in that process, they kill the store owner Mr.Nesbitt.
